Red Alert 3

Really not impressed so far. I’ll get back to you on it soon.

Hell March only plays on the menu? Seriously?

  1. Not impressed in what respect?

War Bears, School Girls and generally a lot of boobs?

    Tim Curry?

All your base are belong to Sulu?

Hard to see what’s not to love :D

  2. Tim Curry takes it seriously – therefore missing the point.

So far Sulu has barely been in it at all.

War Bears are just the Russian version of Attack Dogs now. They feel really underwhelming.

    Still, it does have boobs.

  3. It really feels like RA2, but simpler. Less resource gathering mgt since there are no routes to defend or to tackle. I always wanted and like alternate attacks and combining units’ strength like tesla troops and tesla coil, but that’s already available in RA2. Now most units are amphibious? Where is the variety? And not much new units from allied and soviet, other than new faction, japan. Not enough variety in units…

Graphics and animation are 3D nice but looks too cartoony. Prefer C&C3 graphics, which can run on lower spec than RA3. Would rather have a more serious and cooler looking graphic models, most of the units are roundish and pretty cute looking….. need to potray strength in the tanks man, they are just too cute and round on the edges. Engineer sailing on balloon-inflated boats, fully stretched out on his back and i can imagine him smiling and relaxing, while on the battlefield? oh dear… makes me prefer a much beefed up RA1 and RA2 graphics and animation, sprites and ingame icons.

This comment is purely on gameplay comparison due to my expriences with RA1 and 2. I am definitely not impressed and quite disappointed. As a RTS game, it should be pretty good for a new player in the series.

  4. It feels like C&C:Generals with a RA skin.

I did not like C&C Generals.
